Growth Strategist
After relocating to Philadelphia at the end of 2019, I continued my work with OCG Creative from afar. While the distance often restricts me from working directly with clients, my responsibilities include collaborating with the internal team to ensure that our clients’ needs are being met. I love to dabble in a bit of everything. Getting new employees up to speed on our business processes, client communication, and internal tools is what I enjoy most! I also work directly on internal marketing to make sure we are doing for ourselves what we do best for our clients. This includes social media, email marketing, search engine marketing (paid and unpaid advertising) and beyond! I also love popping into virtual client meetings occasionally to share my thoughts on what we can do to improve a business’s online presence. Hopefully I’ll see you there!
Why I Love Marketing
Ever since returning home in 2017 from working in South Korea, I have immersed myself into the world of marketing. Being that my father has been a marketer my entire life, it was no surprise that I developed a passion for it almost immediately. When I discovered that digital marketing was a way for me to exercise my creativity, I was sold! Initially, I thought that being a digital marketer meant that I would be sitting behind a computer screen all day long. This couldn’t be further from the truth. To me, digital marketing is collaboration. Meeting frequently with clients and working with the internal team to figure out how we can bring a story to life is what it’s all about. Since I am a ‘people person,’ seeing the excitement and enthusiasm on a client’s face when something succeeds makes me love this profession more and more each day!
Most Rewarding Part of My Job
The most rewarding part of my job is seeing others develop the same kind of passion for the work as I have. While digital marketing certainly isn’t for everyone, I love sharing my knowledge and watching others grow to love the industry and the work we do here at OCG Creative. Digital marketing doesn’t work on its own. We need a passionate and enthusiastic team that is dedicated to helping people grow their business. Ultimately, we need to be just as invested in a client’s business as they are.
Outside of OCG Creative
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me doing something creative around the house. I’m certainly no artist, but I typically have two or three projects going on at the same time… drying and pressing flowers, experimenting with a new recipe, building shelves to hang on the wall, painting an old frame, or maybe making homemade holiday cards. Outside of my home, I enjoy finding new places to explore around the city. I love eating at new restaurants, going to the movie theater, and window shopping. Horseback riding, skiing, reading mystery novels, and watching thriller movies are also a few of my favorites!
My Favorite Clients
I love working with clients that are genuinely engaged in the work we are doing for them. When a client takes a little time to understand our industry, we typically see better results. While the final project is ultimately our responsibility, it is best to have a client that is involved in all stages of development.
